| When
starting the stud in 1998, we decided to breed thoroughbreds,
but after spending a small mortgage and nearly bankrupting my
parents, I came to the conclusion that I had to change my breeding
programme - so along came Dice (Stallion) and his knowledgeable
friendly breeder and now friend/advisor Anne Haydon of Bewes Stud,
Ascot. I still have my trusty TB mares, who luckily had some of
Europe's best Sports horse breeding in their pedigrees, then over
the last few years added some more top class mares to our happy
little band. We always breed from mares that have top class foundation
lines and are graded/papered in their relevant studbooks. They
also have to have correct conformation and movement and just as
importantly - a genuine, nice temperament. We believe that all
of our mares should be ridden in their choosen disciplines, before
we would use them in our breeding programme. (unless injury has
prevented).
Detailed below are some of our foundation mares and also new mares/youngstock
that have been bought/bred to ensure that we are consisitently
updating our breeding programme.

Mackey
|
Macareus
Bewes
Mackey is a beautiful mare with 3 superb off the floor, powerful
paces. She was bought as a foal as one of our future foundation
mares. She is booked to go in foal to one of Westpoint Studs Stallions
Ragazoni.
Mackey has prescence, is correctly put together, and is a compact
16hh beautiful mare. She has the sweetest nature and a very trainable
temperament. Mackey has been schooled and ridden, and as she is
a young mare she will be given the chance to prove herself under
saddle as a top class dressage prospect. |

Gurt
|
Fi
Larina
Gurt was added to the stud 4 years ago. She was imported from
Holland approximately 7 years ago. After having a successful jumping
career, she was sold to me for stud duties. However, we have not
bred a foal from Gurt as of yet as we continued to jump her under
rules. She is a lively ride with a phenomenal jump. Superb friendly
nature, approx 16.2hh, she has big powerful paces, combined with
excellent conformation. Gurt is in foal to a French coloured warmblood
stallion. |

Meggie has bred me 3 super foals, Waldon Triggernometry (Eventing
Stallion) See his stud page, a beautiful bay filly by Dice who
we sadly lost at 6 months old and Wild Flower by Dice, we have
kept 'Fleur' for the breeding programme. (Keep your eyes peeled
for 'Fleur's' foals in 2007). Meggie is superbly bred mare approx.
16hh with amazing shoulder and superb hocks. All her offspring
ooze quality and have beautiful temperaments. A nice compact American
thoroughbred mare. Meggie is in foal to Dice this year, we have
a queue of people already wanting one of her foals. |
